Recently, WorldShare’s Board has been considering the ongoing positive improvements in living standards in the Philippines.

Since our partnership with Philippine Missionary Fellowship (PMF) commenced in the year 2000, the Philippines has made great progress. Measures of poverty, school enrolment and overall wealth have been steadily improving, especially in recent years.

As a result, after prayer and consideration, WorldShare’s board and leadership team have decided to begin the process of concluding our partnership with PMF.

The primary reason for this decision is to allow WorldShare to put additional effort and resources into communities where the need is greatest.

This decision has been shared with the PMF Executive Board, who received the news positively and gave their encouragement and blessing for WorldShare in implementing this decision.

I appreciate that change is often difficult, but I want to say emphatically that this announcement is delivered as good news.

To all our supporters, thank you so much for your faithful support of our work in the Philippines. We celebrate the role that you’ve played, successfully ‘standing in the gap’ to provide compassion and care for children until the Filipino community was able to stand on their own feet.

Whilst the time has come to conclude WorldShare’s work in the Philippines, the needs of our other partners are as urgent as they have ever been, especially with the devastating impact of COVID-19.

Thank you again for your generous support of children through WorldShare.

 Grace and peace,

 Joanna Mansfield
Chief Executive Officer
